Nilsson solutions for irregular A-hypergeometric systems

We study the solutions of irregular A-hypergeometric systems that are constructed from Gr\"obner degenerations with respect to generic positive weight vectors. These are formal logarithmic Puiseux series that belong to explicitly described Nilsson rings, and are therefore called (formal) Nilsson series. When the weight vector is a perturbation of (1,...,1), these series converge and provide a basis for the (multivalued) holomorphic hypergeometric functions in a specific open subset of complex n-space. Our results are more explicit when the parameters are generic or when the solutions studied are logarithm-free. We also give an alternative proof of a result of Schulze and Walther that inhomogeneous A-hypergeometric systems have irregular singularities.Comment: Terminology changed: see Definition 2.6 in current version. The Effect of Trade Facilitation on Sectoral Trade

This paper aims to analyse the effect of trade facilitation on sectoral trade flows. We use data from the World Bank’s Doing Business Database on the fees associated with completing the procedures to export or import goods in a country, on the number of documents needed and on the required time to complete all the administrative procedures to import and export. An augmented gravity equation is estimated for 13 exporters and 167 importers using a number of estimation techniques, namely OLS, PPML and the Harvey model. A common result is that trade flows increase by lowering transport costs and the number of days required to trade. The outcome supports multilateral initiatives, as that in the WTO, which encourages countries to assess their trade facilitation needs and priorities and to improve them. Changes in hydrodynamic, structural and geochemical properties in carbonate rock samples due to reactive transport

Reactive transport plays an important role in the development of a wide range of both anthropic and natural processes affecting geological media. To predict the consequences of reactive transport processes on structural and hydrodynamic properties of a porous media at large time and spatial scales, numerical modeling is a powerful tool. Nevertheless, such models, to be realistic, need geochemical, structural and hydrodynamic data inputs representative of the studied reservoir or material. Here, we present an experimental study coupling traditional laboratory measurements and percolation experiments in order to obtain the parameters that define rock heterogeneity, which can be altered during the percolation of a reactive fluid. In order to validate the experimental methodology and identify the role of the initial heterogeneities on the localization of the reactive transport processes, we used three different limestones with different petrophysical characteristics. We tracked the changes of geochemical, structural and hydrodynamic parameters in these samples induced by the percolation of an acid fluid by measuring, before and after the percolation experiment, petrophysical and hydrodynamic properties of the rocks.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version

Los juegos temporales en los relatos de Julio Cortázar: análisis de tres cuentos

El estudio del tiempo en el relato ha sido un asunto esencial para los estudios de narratología, principalmente a partir de los logros del estructuralismo y de la teoría propuesta por Gérard Genette. En el presente trabajo me propongo abordar el estado de esta cuestión, para realizar después un análisis temporal de los relatos "Ómnibus", "Las puertas del cielo" y "Bestiario", incluidos en Bestiario (1951). El estilo de Cortázar destaca por la abundancia de anacronías y juegos temporales y, por tanto, su elección resulta muy apropiada para el enfoque que se desarrolla en este estudio.The study of time throughout the story has been a key issue in narratology surveys, mainly from the achievements of structuralism and the theory proposed by Gérard Gennette. In this paper, it's my intention to deal with the state of this issue, to carry out a subsequent temporal analysis of "Ómnibus", "Las puertas del cielo" and "Bestiario", narrations included in Bestiario (1951). Cortázar's outstanding style, with abundance of anachronies and temporal plays, makes them quite a suitable choice to the approach in this study

Esta revisión bibliográfica trata sobre la Adherencia y el Cumplimiento terapéutico familiar en los tratamientos logopédicos de los sujetos con patología de dislalia, haciendo hincapié en los conceptos tratados en esta revisión, la metodología aplicada, los resultados adquiridos y, finalmente, las conclusiones obtenidas. En la actualidad este tema es de gran importancia en patologías tanto del ámbito logopédico como de cualquier otra especialidad, ya que el grado en el que el paciente y su familia se adhieran o ejecuten los consejos o pautas del logopeda, podrá contribuir de manera positiva o negativa en el tratamiento y recuperación de ese paciente.Grado en Logopedi

En el presente trabajo estudiamos la importancia que el erotismo adquiere cuando una obra literaria es seleccionada para ser llevada a la gran pantalla. Para ello, proponemos el estudio de siete adaptaciones cinematográficas que parten de textos con diversos tratamientos del contenido sexual. Entre las múltiples opciones que teníamos, hemos elegido siete adaptaciones realizadas por alguno de nuestros más célebres directores de cine: Vicente Aranda, Bigas Luna, Mario Camus y Pilar Miró
